In this podcast, Karen Interviews Nisa, a biodiversity expert living in Haiti, who came for a life between lives regression.
Before coming to see me, Nisa experiences two past life regressions with other practitioners. Now she is keen to undertake a life between lives regression.
Nisa is seeking this regression for three main reasons: One, to see her dog who recently died; Two, to go deeper than her current meditations so she can open her heart more; Three, to hopefully meet her guides and the wise elders.
How to open a closed heart.
Nisa meditates for long periods each day, so we both expect her to progress in the trance quite easily. Unfortunately, she senses nothing. Any progress seems stalled. Eventually, when the answers start coming, they are a surprise. Inadvertently, Nisa has fallen into a trap that many spiritually focussed people can fall into.
From doing over a thousand regressions, I know the only reason we fail to achieve trance is some sort of negative block. Often it is belief that one cannot obtain a trance state. But that is not the case with Nisa. She meditates every day. Obviously, something else, perhaps some belief, is blocking her. I note she came with a desire to open her heart more, so what might have closed her heart in the first place.
During the regression, I use all my resources to help her reach her guidance. Eventually, after about thirty minutes of focused work, we begin understanding the nature of the problem. Thankfully, Nisa’s wise guidance gives her advice about how she became blocked and how to ensure she stays aligned with her guides and her higher self.
In the podcast, Nisa reports that she had been blocked by her own negativity. She also explains how this happened and how she finds her way out.
Wise advice on keeping our hearts open.
At the end of the podcast, I ask Nisa if she has anything to add. Desiring to help others, she makes several suggestions including the following that I have summarized:
- Everything happens for a reason.
- The good and bad challenges we encounter in our lives are nudges from the other side.
- If we don’t take notice, the challenges will continue in a harder way.
- Challenges are our “map” and the more we align with love, the better our lives will be.

Loved this podcast. I kept nodding my head when Nisa was talking about her experiences with meditation.
I started meditating a few months ago and it has made a big difference in my life.
My life couldn’t be more different to Nisa’s. I live in a comfortable house in the countryside with a loving family. I have so much to be grateful for in my country of Australia.
It is so right that the only way to transform the world is to transform ourselves first. To love yourself first and then you can give love to others. And everyone deserves to be loved.
Easier said than done but I’m up for the challenge.
Thanks again Karen for your podcasts
Dear Fiona. Thank you for your comments. I am glad to know your experience resonates with Nisa’s. Yes we have much to be grateful for when we live in a peaceful country with many advantages. I am hoping the podcasts help people realise that the real work needed to create peace, joy and a sense of safety in us and our world is the inner work that you referred to. Instead of focussing on trying to change the outer world we need to personally clear our inner blocks so we can be our true self, that is, a wise being full of love, joy and inner strength.
Many don’t realise it, but our positive energy then resonates out into the world and the more people who do this, the greater impact it has on those who are lost and troubled, negative and desperate. Individually we can make a difference in the world without personal risk.
