Getting What You Need

Getting What You Need

The regressions I do are guided, a little by me, but mostly from those beings who are dedicated to the highest good of the client and the highest good of all.

The guidance comes to the clients through their imagination in the form of words, thoughts, ideas, images, feelings or impressions, which is commonly called “intuition.” My only promise for a regression is that each client will get what he or she needs. Occasionally, what some clients receive is very different to what they expected.

During one recent week, I had two clients who did not get what they expected from their regressions. Their names are Lance and Ruth. Although their regressions were very different, the message each received was much the same.

After many years working happily as a tradesman, Lance, 50, was keen to move into a different state to live a simple life in nature. He planned to build a small structure on property near a close friend where he could fish and grow food.

He had waited months to see me and, in the meantime, his pressing issues had resolved. He had left the relationship which concerned him and felt much happier as a consequence. Still, he wanted to experience a past life and a life between lives regression.

Lance had an unusual quality, he had a powerful, constant love for God. During the regression, whenever he quietly focussed on this love, tears of joy streamed down his face. He clearly remembered having these feelings at age four and they had been with him ever since.

I was in a place [church] where everyone was honouring God but I could see that they were not honouring that and didn’t know what they were doing. Their love for God was not manifesting in a genuine way. Always, that has been a deep grief for me. It has caused me to shut down on so many levels because there is no place for that love. It makes me so lonely.

I suggested Lance access a past life, but the only image that came was one he’d seen before.

I see a village in a clearing with six huts made of straw. A group of families live there who have a deep loving connection between them all. I sense a strong contrast with my current life family. A deep overwhelming love for God was easy there in that past life. We knew each other and everything was easy. There was harmony.

Lance could not elaborate on this image. His strongest impression was the feeling of connection between these people. I could see he was experiencing it deeply. Eventually, he explained that the feeling between the members of the group is the same feeling he has of loving God.

I deepened Lance’s trance but nothing more was coming to him so I decided to ask the questions he’d prepared for the session, suggesting he respond with the first thought, idea, image or impression that came to his mind.

Lance did this very well, receiving answers to all his questions. But he felt somewhat dissatisfied. “I already knew these answers,” he said.

Ruth was similar to Lance in that she had waited several months for her appointment and had resolved her situation since.

When I made the appointment, I was traumatised. I’d met this guy and didn’t know what to do.

Although she enjoyed spending time with this man, he had many health problems. After putting up with a demanding ex-husband and bringing up three children alone, she did not want to sign up to caring for an ill man. After thinking it through carefully, she’d decided she could enjoy his company as a friend without taking on any responsibility for his health.

Still, she was expecting to experience a past life and life between lives regression.

Ruth has travelled much since her children reached adulthood and a lot of it has been alone.

I have felt guidance. At one stage I flew on my own to a South American city knowing no one or what I would do when I got there. I would not let the any fear in. Travelling I have had these memories of past lives come back. I can sit alone on the bus and get the feelings.

Ruth recalled an example of her connection to her past lives.

In the Copan ruins in Central America. I felt something as soon as I walked in the door. I wanted to lie down on the ground. We were waiting for the guide. In that ancient time, women were killed to be with their dead husbands. After the tour, I sat with my back against the ruins. I realised that, in that past life, I and others were taught how to leave our bodies and return before we died. These ancient people actually believed that the life on Earth was of second importance to their spiritual life. The reason I felt this urge to lie of the ground came back to me. In the past life, I had decided to be buried alive so I could leave my body when I wanted. Leaning back on the ruins, I felt great joy in knowing that we, as those ancient people, knew about our spiritual life.

Ruth had remembered many of her past lives, but none were forthcoming during the regression. I decided to do the same thing I had done with Lance and ask the questions she had prepared. She received answers, but nothing much that was new to her. However, one answer was telling after I asked what her purpose was this life.

To have faith in myself.

Her guides laughed when she wondered about already knowing what she was receiving.

Lance and Ruth received the same message. Trust yourself. They had resolved their problems and were very capable of continuing to do so. They had looked for validation outside of themselves, thus coming to see me, but they didn’t need to do that anymore. They had the answers already, within. They just had to ask and then trust, knowing the answers are there and everything that is happening is doing so for a reason.

I cancelled their second regressions. They knew, and I knew, it wasn’t needed. Although they didn’t get the experience they expected, they were both happy. They each left with renewed faith in themselves and in their intuition, knowing that they had received exactly what they needed.

A Transpersonal Journey

A Transpersonal Journey

A transpersonal journey is different to a past life or life between lives regression in one significant way. Our focus in a transpersonal journey is on resolving the problems of the client and we do that by a process of investigation. The client needs to be ready and willing to face these issues and delve deep. We often utilise the emotions associated with the issue to gather relevant information.

The session involves the client’s guides who we call in and ask for help. The journey may involve a past life, a current life or even a visit to the life between lives, especially that area where spirits become stuck. At the beginning, we never know where we may go. We simply trust the shift will take place. To achieve the desired outcome the client needs to be open to exploring whatever situation is presented by the guides.

Even though every session is unique, here is a case which may give you a sense of a transpersonal journey. Paul came to see me in the hope he could sort out some issues.

Paul described having a pattern of depression which came upon him at least once a year. During the months before the day of his booked appointment with me, he had another of these debilitating episodes. He was so tired and anxious he lost fifteen kilograms. Fortunately, he had weened himself off his anti-depressants earlier in the year and was sufficiently aware during this period to clearly describe what had happened.

Paul was very busy in his self-employed business but one weekend took time off to engage in several physical activities. He did a three hour session of martial arts and a couple of hours of surfing. When he got home, he had some household activities to do before tackling the work he had to complete in his office. As he walked into his office, he realised how exhausted he was. He describes how he felt.

I knew I had overdone it and I started feeling anxious. When I feel like that it is a case of the damage has been done but, at the time, I felt overwhelmed.

As Paul described this memory, he accessed the same feelings he had at the time. You might notice how he changed tense.

Fearful energy comes up my spine and I go into flight or fight. I have tremors in the body, palpitations, short breaths, tense stomach. It feels like total dread.

I use these emotions to help us explore, so I ask him if he has felt like this before. He describes some earlier episodes in his current life before further detailing his cycle of distress.

The anxiety creates flight or fight. I can’t sleep and can’t eat. When all of that happens, there are senses in my head which make me feel disconnected because my thoughts are foggy. I have obtrusive thoughts.

I ask Paul to tell me the nature of these intrusive thoughts.

I remember the first time that I had this cycle. I couldn’t switch it off. I was in a stressful job and we had a new baby. I’d stopped taking antidepressants. I had a few anxiety attacks and I couldn’t work. When I was going through a burst of anxiety, I walked around the block trying to calm myself. I forced myself to eat dinner. I was light sensitive so the lights had to be turned down. We decided to watch something and we chose a dark psychological movie. I sat through it. The main character is investigating a disappearance on an island asylum. Near the end, (crying) he discovers the most dangerous patient is himself. He is a murderer.

We went to bed and I was laying there. I had fears of going crazy, that I might wake up in the morning suddenly discovering I am bad, like the psychopath.

Paul is terribly upset while relating this memory. He has the same symptoms as before. I wonder if this could be triggering some sort of past life with remnants bleeding into his current life.

I was scared as a little kid. Before I married, I was very self-destructive. Since having kids, the feeling of love for them is overwhelming. I am over-protective and afraid for them. I want them to grow up and know they are okay. But I want to enjoy them when they are little. It is a catch 22. I cannot enjoy my children because I am so afraid of something happening to them. I can’t watch TV. If I get something that triggers me, like a movie, I feel terrible dread. Then I think, I have gone too far!

I suggest that this sense of “I have gone too far” is a trigger. Paul replies that he felt like that at the beginning of the recent weekend episode when he had done too much in one day.

I ask if we can keep exploring this sense of going too far.

Paul: I want to do it. I am just scared of being stuck in it and cannot get out.

Karen: Stuck in what way.

Paul: I see a dark tunnel and light at the end.

Karen: Focus on that.

Paul: I am really claustrophobic.

Karen: What would you like to do? Unlock the claustrophobia or something else?

Paul: I’d like to meet my guide.

I know Paul is currently feeling afraid and stuck. To meet his guide, he will need to access a higher frequency.

Karen: Okay. First, we need to go to a safe, happy place. What is that for you?

Paul: Rainforest with a stream.

I give him a guided meditation of a rainforest and stream, and eventually ask what he is aware of.

Paul: Dark. My heartrate is fast.

Karen: What is that heart rate telling you about yourself at the moment? (long silence) What’s happening now?

Paul: I feel like I am really deep and dark.

Karen: Is that a relaxed feeling?

Paul: Hmm, body really heavy.

Karen: Stay with that, perhaps that is what your body needs at the moment. (Long silence). Anything coming, Paul?

Paul: Lots of coloured lights in the darkness.

Karen: Could be healing lights. Anything you want to share you can. Otherwise I’ll just let you be for a while. (Another long silence).

Paul: What is my purpose?

Ask you guides and see what pops in.

Paul: Love.

Paul: How do I heal? Light

Karen: How would the light heal you?

Paul: Togetherness.

Karen: What does that mean?

Paul: Family. wisdom, chakra, twelve, heal. It is different now, a real tunnel feeling. I am moving. Bright lights are around me and they are shrinking almost like I am going backwards.

Karen: Go with that. That could be healing too.

Paul: I see a rat’s face.

Karen: What does that mean?

Paul: Time.

What is important about time in this context?

Paul: Time is everything.

K: What do you think about the tunnel and light at the end going backward?

Paul: Not sure.

Karen: Do you remember your fear of going too far and not being able to go back?

Paul: Yes.

Karen: I think the guides just showed you that you can.

Paul smiles.

Karen: Thinking about what we have done today, how do you feel.

Paul: It makes me happy. I am going to focus on self-love as that always makes me feel better. I think that I need to trust my intuition and meditate more. I am genuinely a good person. I know that. I deserve self-love.

Now I take Paul back to the weekend which started two months of anxiety and serious weight loss, including feelings of dread, fast heartrate and tremors earlier in the session. Now he reports feeling nothing. I also take him back to the disturbing movie which had caused him considerable distress. Again, his feelings are neutral.

He had lost all negative emotional charge, which had been previously associated with the scenarios.

You might wonder what happened to gain such a shift in Paul’s attitude as not a lot was said in the last half of the regression. However, there were a lot of long pauses during this time. Paul had calmed himself down and it is quite likely that the guides were working on him energetically while he was seeing all the coloured lights.

Paul left feeling light and happy. He had committed to asking the guides for help in the future, and he assured me he would return if he had any sense of going back into the old pattern of deep anxiety and fatigue.

This sort of session is called a transpersonal journey because it is set up to harness the wisdom of our spirit guides. The guides respect free will. They do not interfere in our human journey. To receive help, we need to ask as specifically as we can.

Before we embark on the transpersonal journey, we explore the client’s issues to gain clarity on the key problem. We call in the guides and ask them to keep out any unwanted energies so only those wise beings are present who are here for the highest good of the client and highest good of all. We do that so we can trust the journey and what is received.

Usually we start exploring the issue without any hypnotic induction but sometimes an induction is necessary to calm the client. If any blocks are present, our first task is to explore and dismantle those. Some clients have something on their mind. When so, it needs to be put to rest. Bringing it to the surface is the most effective way to do that.

Then we embark on the journey trusting we are receiving help from the guides. Sometimes information flows, coming to the client with no help from me. Other times I help the client surface information by asking questions.

I have found the transpersonal journey is a useful way of addressing issues that are holding clients back from progressing in the way they would like.

Book Launch

Book Launch

Today it is two years (22nd Sept. 2016) since Michael Newton departed for his life between lives. I thought it fitting to let you know about a new book with which he was involved.

The Book is “Llwellyn’s Little Book Of Life Between Lives” which is to be launched in the USA on the 1st  of October 2018.

This is a great book for anyone interested in past life or life between lives regression. By using relevant and absorbing cases, it explains the process in detail, including the preparation, the hypnotic process, what the past life is like and “places” you can access in the life between lives. Because it is a small book with an attractive hard cover, it is a great gift.

I am a member of the Research Committee of the Michael Newton Institute, There are four of us and we are the authors of this book. Many of the cases in the book come from my clients (with permission of course)..

Ann Clark, the Director of the Research Committee, spoke to Michael Newton a few months before he passed. He had been asked by Llewellyn, the publisher of his books, to write this book. Because he trusted the work the Research Committee had already done, he asked Ann if she could take on the writing of the book. He was not in the best of health at the time. She promised him the Research Committee members would write the book. Sadly, Michael passed over before it was finished.

You can pre-order the book now, either with your  local bookstore or the link below. If you have any problems getting it, please let me know.

Is a Past Life Real?

Is a Past Life Real?

How do I know, in a session, whether I am recalling a past life or remembering something I have learned in this life?

During the session, you don’t know. Most people feel they are making it up. Because of the way the Earth system is set up, we sort of “trick” ourselves into accessing these past lives and life between lives. Let me explain.

On Earth we have a physical body that is vulnerable to damage and death. Naturally we want to protect it and that includes our emotional health too. Therefore, our focus is on our safety. We don’t want to waste our time or our money, and we certainly don’t want to be duped. These are all threats to our welfare.

But to go into our past lives and our life between lives, we need to shift our focus away from the physical world and into the spiritual world. How do we do this and still stay safe?

First, we practitioners use hypnosis to help the body relax so you can feel physically safe.

Second, you have a trusted practitioner by your side, looking out for you and guiding you. The level of trust you have in the practitioner is important. You need to feel emotionally safe.

Now you need to trust the process and go along with the instructions. When doubts come into your mind, you put them aside. If your doubts are strong or intrusive, you share them with the practitioner. She will reassure you, asking you to go along with the first thing that comes into your mind. You don’t consider the questions she asks, instead you allow the response to pop into your mind. You will probably believe you thought it, and it is a thought, but the first thought is the one you want. You don’t censor your first impression.

Sometimes people are blocked and struggle to receive. They are actually blocking themselves.

The answers cannot come if you are not open to them. For example, the information cannot flow in if you think you need proof. That is a block. That is protective thinking. You are unsure, not wanting to be duped. You need to let go and trust. It is better if you don’t t care at all whether it is true or not. You need to accept what comes to keep the information flowing.

In summary, you need to trust enough to open the door, then keep going, still trusting.

Now, we come back to your question. How do you know if what you experienced is true or not?

For some people the experience was so real and compelling they trust it. For others, the information they received makes so much sense, they are convinced it is right. But some come out of the trance, wondering if it was true. What happens if that is you?

Obviously, while you were in the trance, you needed to accept what was coming to you. Now you have a choice. You can stay open to the possibility that what you received is true or you can doubt it. If you stay curious and open, you are likely to find evidence of the veracity of your experience. Many do.

Clients often write to me after the session telling me what they discovered. Recently one wrote to me and said she found an exact picture of the strange hat a man was wearing during her past life. It matched with other details she noted during the session, including the place and timeframe. When you find corroborating evidence, you feel more confident in the information you received during the session.

Even I sometimes doubt the accuracy of what the client is receiving. In one past life, my client was an Indian man. While looking at some movement in a bush, a huge snake came up behind the man and wound around him, killing him. Several aspects of this scene were strange. Why did the snake attack him when he had his back to him? India has many dangerous snakes, but does this include constrictors? Why couldn’t he get away?

Later investigation answered these questions. India does have constrictor pythons and, though it is rare, they can grow to six metres and are capable of killing a man. These pylons are loners and not particularly active during the day except in the mating season when they can be aggressive. They have poor eyesight but a good sense of smell. The movement the man was looking at in the bush was another snake, the snake’s intended mate. The man was simply in the way. He had no knife so he could not save himself from being suffocated.

You will meet this client in a later video post when she will explain why she came for a regression, what happened during the regression and how it changed her.

Is a past life real or is it just symbolic?

In either case, something quite amazing is going on here as these regressions change people’s lives in positive ways. In the above case, the client was convinced the past life was real but ultimately each of us has to make up our own mind.

The past life is always related to the client’s current life, and this relationship is often expressed in an unusual and interesting ways. Each regression is unique, often portraying situations one could not easily imagine.

Some people think they are making it up from their imagination. The word “imagination” includes the idea of experiencing images. When confronted with this, I always ask, “Why did you specifically imagine that situation out of countless possibilities?”

To do a regression, you need to trust. You need to trust the practitioner, the process, your spiritual guides and your own ability to trust and open to receive. Once you have experienced the session, you make up your own mind whether it was worthwhile, useful or genuine.

Special offer – continued

I have been impressed with the results from my special package to clients who would like to do a past life regression and a life between lives regression. So far those clients who took up this offer have had great experiences. For example, one said, “Thank you for the regressions. I feel so lighter and I am now looking forward to the future.” Another said, “I have noticed a difference already, especially in my relationships. I am actually enjoying my mother’s company, when before I was stressed and tense.”

Because it worked  so well I have decided to extend this special offer, at this stage, until the end of December 2018.

The special offer is 2 three-hour regressions for $600

The regressions are taken on separate days and you will receive  notes of the sessions and the audio recordings.

The real magic of magic mushrooms

The real magic of magic mushrooms

Recently I watched a TED talk about treating depression with the active chemical in magic mushrooms, psilocybin. Rosalind Watts, a psychologist who is part of a research term at the Imperial College London, gave the talk.

Twenty people who had long-term, treatment-resistant depression were given a high dose of psilocybin in a therapeutic setting. Each individual listened to music while being with a therapist who was there mainly for safety. The sessions were not structured by the therapist and lasted for about six hours.

Of the twenty people, six were completely cured of their depression, three experienced no change and eleven had their depression lift for two months before it started returning.

Using brain-imagining techniques, the researchers identified those areas of the brain affected by the psilocybin. Their conclusions? That the drug increased flexibility and neural connectivity, effectively unlocking the brain.

The results were positive but the real mystery to the researchers was: What did these people actually experience? Each individual was interviewed six months later. This is what the researchers found:

  • Most surfaced unconscious memories and past traumas.
  • They received insight into their negative patterns of behaviour.
  • They were liberated emotionally. Most had been numb or shut down emotionally. During the session many cried and released emotions.
  • They now felt connected when before they were isolated. Some reported feeling closely connected to friends and family. Others felt connected to nature. Many experienced a spiritual awakening with a sense of harmony and unity.
  • Their experience was perfectly structured and unfolded in a way that was optimal for their personal transformation.

Several of them, the researchers claimed, experienced six years of therapy in six hours. Some of these described their experience as “my brain being defragged,” “the fog lifting” and “the lights being turned on in a dark house.”

After these results, the researchers wondered if psilocybin could cure depression. They decided that the chemical only created conditions for the individual to cure him or herself.

It seemed the psilocybin was the magic that created the conditions, which appeared to be a special state of mind. In any case, that is what the researchers concluded.

But that wasn’t true either. You don’t need a chemical to reach that state.

People who come for a past life regression or a life between lives regression, don’t need magic mushrooms or psilocybin to create a state of mind where they transform. They revisit lost memories, resolve past trauma, gain insights, experience a sense of harmony and unity that we call the Oneness without ingesting any pharmaceutical. And they experience it all unfolding perfectly for their optimal learning. This state can easily be achieved with an experienced practitioner of life between lives hypnosis.

The sessions I facilitate with my clients mirror what was described in the psilocybin research. As soon as the client reaches a special state of hypnosis, I hand over to their guides who take them on the journey that is perfect for them. This journey and their experiences are beautifully designed for them by their guides.

A psychologist recently sent me a client who was suicidal after being depressed for two years. He had been in and out of hospital and was not able to work. He did two sessions with me and, according to his psychologist, his depression was gone. This is what he wrote a few months after his session:

You have been such a big part in my recovery and I am looking forward to the next time to see you.  The Guides have been very active in my life and the more I accept them, the more I succeed. Thank you for opening this door…for me to breathe and dream of the doorway beyond and that it has come to complete fruition. You might remember that I was given the motivation and wisdom to “open a door and expect a doorway”!

Of course, it is not only depressed people who benefit from these experiences, others do too.

Many people are helped, including those who want to understand:

  • the challenges they are facing in their lives,
  • whether they are on track with their life purpose,
  • where their loved ones are and why they were taken,
  • how to lift the fog of confusion or the distress of anxiety, and
  • how to heal or manage their physical problems.

As the researchers discovered, the real magic of the process that so helped their depressed patients isn’t in the mushrooms and isn’t in the chemical. The real magic is everyone’s ability to access a special state of consciousness. This state of consciousness allows us to address our issues in the most powerful way possible, assisted by high-level spiritual guides who are focussed on our greatest good.
