Knowing how to heal a broken heart is important. In this episode, Tina, a property developer, describes how she faced a deeply disappointing experience with her parents. When she came for her first regression, she felt distrustful, saying, “I know my parents love me. but I don’t feel a connection.”
Tina did two regressions. Contrary to common experience, the past life emerged in the second while her guru and a visit to the life between lives appeared in the first. Her sessions were over a year apart and she was given confirmation of the veracity of her regression during that time interval.
After the birth of her first child, Tina opened to spirituality. Unfortunately, the anaesthetist made a mistake with the epidural. The needle touched a nerve in her spine so that after the operation, she had no feeling in her left leg for three months. Although her mother had come from China to help her, the visit did not turn out well.
Tina could hardly walk and could barely look after her baby when her mother decided she and her husband should come to live in Australia. For cultural reasons, her mother expected Tina to buy them a house, even though her mother and father owned two houses in China. Because Tina couldn’t work and her husband was working hard in their business to pay their mortgage and other expenses, Tina refused. Consequently this brought on a huge argument. Soon after, her mother left and moved to a motel before returning to China.
How to heal a broken heart
Broken hearted, Tina lost trust in her parents, herself and others around her. Eventually, she found some hope in the books of Michael Newton and other spiritually focussed media. Later, she decided to come for several regressions hoping to heal her broken heart and learn to trust again.
During one regression, Tina relived a past life which broke her heart. Also, this past life explained some the distrust with which she was struggling.
Doing the regressions helped Tina get back on track with her life, her spirituality, and her trust. She agreed to share her story to help others because of this change she experienced.

This is a wonderful podcast! Your client’s experiences clearly illustrate how past life trauma and disappointment, along with the resultant protecting of one’s heart in a current lifetime, can be a stumbling block in relationships and in one’s personal development. What courage this client has had to explore these issues around painful family dynamics, and to work on healing herself! I also admire how when she questions whether some experiences or information are “just her imagination,” validation mysteriously manifests, and the clear message of trusting her intuition asserts itself. This is a beautiful story of hope. Thank-you both for sharing these rich experiences.
Thank you Elizabeth for your comments. I agree that it takes courage to face these issues and resolve them and I am pleased that it is rewarded with healing a broken heart and finding emotional freedom from the past.
