Episode 33: Why Am I Attracting Narcissists

Asking “why I am attracting narcissists” is the most important question Kerry asks me when she comes for a past life regression. Kerry is a nurse who I first meet when I am in hospital having surgery. Consequently, we discuss past lives and I leave my business card with her. Later, Kerry experiences three relatively short relationships. Now, she sees a pattern. She attracts men with narcissist tendencies. Soon after, Kerry comes to see me for a regression. 

Why am I attracting Narcissists

During her regression, Kerry says she feels empty, and is struggling to find her voice. Something is blocking her. Even though she has divorced and is bringing up her three children alone, her self-confidence is low. 

Obviously, some relationships can affect our confidence. Men who initially appear attentive and pleasant, but who change radically later, can shake our judgement. after they have hooked us in, these men became selfish and self-centred. They blame others whenever we bring their dysfunctional behaviour to their attention. 

As we proceed into hypnosis, Kerry gradually receives more information about the block, saying, “trauma from the past, originally created to protect me, is blocking me from higher connection.” We discover this trauma comes from two past lives. Interestingly, Kerry has previously sensed various impressions of these past lives, possibly because she comes from a line of ancestors with psychic ability.

As Kerry explains in the podcast, both past lives were quite disturbing. In one, she is a tough woman in an American cowboy-era western town. This woman makes a significant disturbing decision. In the other, she is a neglected baby. I help Kerry come to terms with these past lives and they help her gain a deeper understanding of who she is now and who she has been. Eventually, she learns an important lesson about Karma. 

In the podcast, we discuss how to be aware of any attraction to narcissistic people. Now early in a relationship, Kerry is aware of the relevant signals.
